Contango Asset Management Limited plans to launch an ASX-listed investment company aimed at investing in global listed securities.

Contango Asset Management Limited has announced plans to launch a new ASX-listed investment company, Contango Global Growth Limited, that will be actively investing in global listed securities.

WCM Investment Management (WCM), a global specialist fund manager with around $21.1 billion in assets under management, would be appointed as the company's investment services consultant to help deliver global securities mandates to local investors.

The prospectus for the initial public offering (IPO) is expected to be lodged by Contango Global Growth Limited with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) in April.
