Technology solutions supplier, IRESS, will implement IRESS Portfolio System (IPS) technology onto Colonial First State's (CFS') wrap platform, FirstWrap, in a collaborative measure for new managed account solutions.

CFS acting executive general manager, Peter Chun, said that the advice and portfolio market was fast-changing and it was important to build ventures with providers who had the technological capacity to meet changing adviser needs.

"We went out and sourced the best in class capability around managed account technology," he said.

"[Using] best-of breed technology on the services we provide to advisers meets their evolving needs, not just in managed account but in the broader context of running a platform."

The solution would be available from 2017 on the CFS FirstWrap platform.
