Bennelong makes new appointment
Bennelong Funds Management has appointed Stuart Fechner as its new director, retail research relationships, effective from May 2017.
He will be reporting to Bennelong’s head of wholesale sales, Jonas Daly.
Fechner would be responsible for the day-to-day contact and support to retail fund researchers and asset consultants and he would also act as an investment specialist on behalf of Bennelong’s boutique fund manager partners.
He joined from AMP Capital where he worked as state account manager, Victoria and Tasmania. Prior to this, he held various business development and research roles at MLC and worked as a research analyst at Advisor Investment Services.
“As Bennelong continues to grow and looks to form additional boutique fund manager partnerships, building in-depth relationships with researchers and asset consultants, as well as other intermediaries, will become increasingly important,” Daly said.
“Stuart brings a particular mix of experience to the role, combing an in-depth understanding of the research house rating process with portfolio construction knowledge and the ability to articulate our fund managers’ investments process and philosophies.”
