AB global equities fund added to CFS’s FirstWrap platform
AllianceBernstein (AB) has announced that its Global Equities Fund has been added to the Colonial First State FirstWrap platform.
The fund, which was launched in Australia in July 2015 and is managed by a team based in Denmark, was designed for investors with high risk tolerance and took a long-only, active core approach aimed to focus on security selection, the company said.
According to Lonsec, the fund offered exposure to the market as it consistently generated alpha since its inception while having a lower volatility than the market.
Ab’s chief executive, Jen Driscoll said: “We are delighted with the fund’s growing presence in the market. It shows that investors still have an appetite for active core strategies in diversified equities portfolios.”
“It also supports our view that the debate about active vs. passive investing should not be couched simply in terms of ‘either/or’. We believe both approaches have a role to play,” he said.
The fund was also available on the BT Wrap, Macquarie Wrap, HUB24 and Powerwrap platforms.
