Van Eyk recommends ‘fixed income’
Researcher van Eyk has recommended investment in diversified income fund managers that emphasise capital protection as well as income enhancement in the current market volatility.
Writing in the Diversified Income Review 2008, investment analyst John Wong said “recent developments in fixed income markets have again highlighted the importance of achieving a balance between income enhancement and capital protection”.
“As the volatile market conditions may persist for some time, investors should aim to have a balanced assessment of the sector, as opportunities are beginning to emerge in credit securities we have not seen for some time,” he said.
