Bernie Klohk, who also has a shareholding in ISG, and Phillip recently hung the AIS shingle outside their office in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Collectively, Klohk and Leslie manage about $78 million for 140 clients.
Speaking at the opening of the offices, AIS chief executive Wes McMaster said the Mercantile Mutual subsidiary had been building adviser numbers in Sydney and Melbourne and the pair were a testament t6o the quality of people coming on board.
McMaster also said AIS was committed to ensuring that it was the adviser, not the dealer, who owned the client base.
“Clearly the adviser has the primary relationship with the client,” he said. “So if an adviser decides to leave the group, for whatever reason, we actively assist them in transferring their clients to the new group.”
