Social Investment Australia targets non-profit sector

Social Investment Australia has this week launched a new product which it says will allow Australia's non-profit sector to access appropriate and affordable finance for property ownership.
The product is the Community Finance Fund Non-Profit.
Social Investment Australia (SIA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Foresters Community Finance, a Community Development Finance Institution known for providing finance and investment capital to the community sector in Australia.
Commenting on the product SIA managing director, Valda Wheeler said it prove invaluable for ensuring the ongoing viability and sustainability of the community sector.
"The fund we offer presents interested investors with the opportunity to support the important goals of the non-profit sector alongside other funders and philanthropists," she said.
"This will go further to change the way we think about investment by developing products that are characterised by the dual focus of social impact and financial returns," Wheeler said.
