Skandia boosts fund offerings
Australian Skandia has introduced three new investments to its fund line-up for both the Skandia Global Investment Solutions and Skandia Global Wholesale Solutions products, both launched last year.
The three new options, which come on top of the 35 funds already available through the two products, include theInvestors MutualAustralian ex-100 fund, thePlatinum International Fundand the Platinum European Fund.
According to Australian Skandia managing director Ross Laidlaw, there were several qualities that differentiated the new managers from the existing funds on offer.
“Investors Mutual provides a premier small cap fund that fills an important niche in our fund selection,” he says.
“Meanwhile Platinum is a quality boutique manager with strong process and outstanding performance. They have a broader investment mandate including not investing to a benchmark and the ability to take a short sell stock position.”
Other investment managers already on Skandia’s investment menus include Marsico Capital Management, Gabelli Asset Management, Alliance Capital Management, MFS Investment Management and Fred Alger Management.
