Sealcorp rolls out adviserNET, Mk III

financial advisers Software asset allocation capital gains

Sealcorp has revamped its online financial services tool, adviserNET, to capitalise on a surge over the past 12 months in advisers using the service.

The number of financial advisers using the online service has surged by 63 per cent in the past 12 months, due to the strategy of making the online financial planning service free to advisers a year ago, according to Sealcorp director of marketing Kate Mulligan.

Sealcorp says the third generation online planning package has been designed to allow financial advisers to spend more time with their clients. New features include account enquiry screens which allow users to view account details, portfolio valuation, asset allocation, transaction details and capital gains screens online via their Internet web browser.

“The ease of navigation has been enhanced. Before it wasn’t easy to use at the front end, but now all views are within three clicks of each other. Also, advisers now click onto the web address and use the service for free, and no longer need to install any software on their desktops,” Mulligan says.

She says the online service benefits both the technologically advanced and those advisers not as technologically proficient. The former tend to use the service in conjunction with the Asgard master trust facility.

Advisers of the second group who are not as comfortable or advanced in using the online service in this way tend to use it more as a research tool. This could involve finding out the exact value of a portfolio at any given moment, or by hypothetically rejigging the weightings of a client’s portfolio.

Mulligan says the main benefit of the service for Sealcorp is the fact that advisers are brought into contact with the Asgard master trust platform, which sits beneath the adviserNET service.
