RSM Bird Cameron make key appointment


Accounting and financial services firm, RSM Bird Cameron has recruited former Helmsman Capital managing director, Peter Watt, as a corporate finance partner, based in Sydney.
The company announced the appointment this week, saying Watt had 26 years' experience in diverse finance-related roles including corporate recovery, corporate and lower mid-market private equity in Australia and the United Kingdom.
The announcement noted that Watt was previously the Managing Director and Member of the Investment Committee for Helmsman Capital focusing on 'distressed for control' opportunities, and providing turnaround capital and restructuring expertise to underperforming businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
It said that Watt had also been an investment director at ISIS Equity Partners in the United Kingdom.
