Financial planners will now be able to apply for life risk insurance online following the launch of a new web-based tool developed by Cannex and Tower.

The end-to-end online application and underwriting process for life insurance products is expected to increase flexibility for planners, who can compare quotes and immediately complete an application at adviserinfo.com.au.

Commenting on the launch, Cannex head of adviserinfo David Passier described the technology as “cutting edge”, because it will save planners time and eliminate double entry of data.

“The ability to use one website to move seamlessly from researching and quoting through to an online application and underwriting system for the product of choice is a revolutionary improvement,” he said.

Client cover information entered into Cannex’s adviserinfo is automatically passed through to Tower’s Accelerate online application and underwriting system without having to re-key data or complete manual forms.

The Accelerate Protection Policy suite includes term life, total and permanent disablement, trauma and income protection, which can be purchased under superannuation or as an individually owned policy.
