Rice departs Rice Kachor
Rice Kachor Research(RKR) founding director Michael Rice has announced today that he is to leave the company after 12 years in a move designed to allow him to increase his focus on his consultancy practice.
The move will leave fellow founding director Mark Kachor to assume full management of the research group formed by Rice and Kachor in 1989.
Rice will now devote all his time to buildingPhillips Fox Actuaries and Consultants, where he is joint managing director with Wayne Walker.
He says: “I have enjoyed the research, which has kept me on top of market trends and helped me to build a profile within the financial services industry. However, the growth of the actuarial practice has put high demands on my time. I can no longer play an active part in RKR. After considering a number of options, I decided it was best to focus entirely on the consulting practice.”
Kachor says he now has plans to expand the Australian product range and to seek a partner for international activities.
“We have a great formula with good reliable processes. I will use Michael’s departure as an opportunity to restructure and move the business to a new level,” he says.
