Proof conventions are a deadly exercise
FEEL like conventions are all the same? Same people, same speakers, same food, same giveaways, same flat beer and the same tunes played on the dance floor?
Well count your fair dinkum lucky stars you didn’t attend this ‘unique’ convention.
One woman died and more than 80 people had to be hospitalised after attending a mortgage company’s convention in a suburban Philadelphia hotel.
The woman had signs of bacterial pneumonia and a rash associated with the types of bacteria that cause pneumonia and meningitis.
She had complained earlier of headache, fever, chills and vomiting.
While headache, fever, chills and vomiting are arguably symptoms experienced at most conventions, it is safe to say it is usually after you have met the same people, heard the same speakers, eaten the same food, benefited from the same giveaways, and drank the same flat beer that has later led to your heart attack on the dance floor.
