Perpetual's Deverall resigns

Perpetual chief executive David Deverall has resigned.

The company announced Deverall's resignation to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) today, saying he would remain until a replacement was found or until 31 March next year, whichever occurred first.

Deverall described his resignation as a personal decision made after seven years with the company.
