Perennial Investment Partners has launched a new retail investment specialist team, appointing three former business development managers (BDMs) and researchers to its business.

John Negri, Felicia Entwistle and Andrew Davies will be responsible for working with financial planners, product research houses and research professionals across the country to develop investment portfolios.

Negri will be responsible for Perennial’s Victorian and South Australian clients. He has previously worked as a senior BDM at ANZ/ING, and has held an investment role at AXA in Melbourne. He has worked closely with advisers as a platform BDM, developing strategies across different portfolios.

Entwistle will focus on working with research firms and dealer group researchers. Previously, she held the position of research house relationship manager at BT.

Davies will work with financial planners and dealer groups in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory to develop their business strategies and platforms. He has experience in research, product development and business development, as well as hedge funds and structured products. He was previously an investment specialist with Ironbark, and has held senior roles at AMP Capital and Merrill Lynch.

“We’ve thrown out the traditional hierarchy of the old bureaucratic BDM infrastructure to implement a focused team of investment specialists who really understand markets, our products and how to help planners and licensees build great portfolios,” said Brian Thomas, head of Perennial retail funds management.
