Omnium offers Android answer in UK
The company which delivered Australian financial advisers an application to run risk insurance quotes on both Apple and Android devices, Omnium, has launched a similar offering in the United Kingdom.
Omnium announced the launch this week, claiming it had developed the first Android application to deliver the service to UK advisers.
It said the significance of the UK launch was that Android had sold more smart phones in the UK than iPhones.
Commenting on the move, Omnium product and account manager Trishanth Chanrahasan said the company had noted market demand for mobile technology from advisers in the UK.
Assureweb director of marketing Mark Wilson said the move into Android had represented a "next logical step".
"We experienced a growing demand for this from our customers," he said.
