Omnium makes comparison apps free

Specialist financial services technology provider Omnium announced this week it had made all its iPhone and Android applications for life insurance comparisons free.
The company said this week the move was aimed at bringing more attention to the applications among financial advisers.
Announcing the move, Omnium product manager Trishanth Chandrahasan said the company believed that when more dealer groups and insurers used the products, they would know who to rely on for their entire risk software needs.
Under existing arrangements, the applications are used by financial planners for a monthly licensing fee.
Among the financial planning dealer groups that currently support the mobile apps are Synchron and Yellow Brick Road.
