Prominent industry figure Kate Mulligan has joined Sealcorp as director of marketing.

The former head of investment and superannuation products at ANZ will fill the position vacated by Lisa Henderson who resigned a few months ago to take up the role of marketing director at ANZ. Henderson was with Sealcorp for just over a year.

Apart from her position at ANZ, Mulligan is also well known for her role in chairing the IFSA Disclosure Working Group which has been influential in the format of CLERP 6 disclosure rules.

As director of marketing at Sealcorp, Mulligan will be involved in all aspects of marketing including products, communication and events.

"There is a change for products to be involved in the market with a unified marketing approach and lining up of the two", Mulligan explains.

She says part of her role will be to maintain and develop ongoing product development.

Mulligan's background includes time spent as a senior funds management lawyer. She says an interest in the business side of funds instigated her initial move into marketing.

"I have a technical background and understanding which I think gives me an edge on the marketing side, and marketing is crucial to product development," she says.
