Money Management has selected its 2011 Financial Planner of the Year and will announce the winner tomorrow at the Financial Planning Association (FPA) national conference in Brisbane.
The 23rd winner of this award has been carefully selected by four judges: former FPA chair Julie Berry, Matrix Planning Solutions managing director Rick Di Cristoforo, last year's Financial Planner of the Year award winner Catherine Robson and Money Management managing editor, Mike Taylor.
The judges awarded points to each candidate in seven separate areas, including education, quality of advice and customer service.
The award - which aims to recognise and reward excellence in the provision of financial advice - required nominees to submit entries that highlighted their contribution to the financial planning profession, their career milestones to date and their service to the community at large.
This year's winner receives a trip to the US 2012 FPA annual conference - a prize to the value of $10,000.
The winner will be announced by Mike Taylor tomorrow afternoon at the FPA conference.
