Mohl to chair IFSA
AMP Financial Services chief Andrew Mohl has been named as chairman of the Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA) for 2001.
Mohl takes over the reins from Macquarie director David Adams who will continue on the board of IFSA in the capacity of a director.
Rothschild senior executive Daryl Hawkey has been named as deputy chairman for the peak financial services manufacturing group for 2001.
The appointment as chairman of IFSA is another feather in the cap for Mohl who has climbed quickly through the senior management ranks at AMP since leaving ANZ Funds Management where he was managing director some five years ago.
He joined AMP Financial Services as head of distribution before taking over as head of AMP Asset Management following the departure of Andrew Threadgold in 1998. He was further promoted to head up the AMP Financial Services following the departure of Ray Greenshields at the end of 1999. Greenshields had been appointed chairman of IFSA in 2000 before his sudden departure from AMP.
