Macquarie signs software deal
Macquarie has signed up Spectra Securities Software to provide its financial planners, stock brokers and management team with portfolio management software.
Under the agreement, Macquarie's 36 financial planners will receive the Spectra software, Spectra Portfolio. Spectra Portfolio will provide advanced reporting, modelling and prospecting facilities to Macquarie Investment advisers.
Macquarie Financial Services group executive director Gail Burke says the software provides the group's financial planners and investment advisers with a complete set of analysis and reporting tools.
The implementation of Spectra Portfolio is the first of a multi-phase initiative that provides client direct access to review portfolio information via the web.
Spectra president John McLeod says Australia is an important market for Spectra and an agreement with Macquarie will enhance the group's growth in the region.
Spectra Securities Software is a Canadian based provider of wealth management software solutions to stockbrokers, financial planners, banks and insurance companies.
