Macquarie Life gathers momentum
Macquarie Life has made three key appointments to its national team in an effort to bolster the growth the business has experienced since it introduced Australia’s first online platform last year.
Macquarie Life head Justin Delaney said the new additions — Daniel Langdon as head of product and actuarial, Suzanne Evans as senior underwriter and Robert McNeil as business development manager, Queensland — have the skills and experience needed to support the business’ continued growth.
“We’re finding advisers and their clients are continuing to provide positive feedback on their experience with FutureWise [the online platform] and, as a result, word of mouth is generating more interest in our offering and our business is expanding.
“To help facilitate this growth, we need to extend our knowledge and capabilities as a team so we can maintain the momentum we’ve built as well as continue to develop the high standard of customer service that is central to our business.”
Langdon joins Macquarie from Asteron, where he worked in actuarial roles and as chief financial officer, and will focus on developing FutureWise.
Evans, who spent six years with one of the United Kingdom’s leading financial services companies, will be responsible for the development of the business’ underwriting processes, procedures, guidelines and risks.
McNeil, whose previous position was with Zurich, will be responsible for maintaining Macquarie’s existing client relationships in Queensland and sourcing new business.
