loans.com.au claims edge on banks

Brisbane-based online lending company, loans.com.au has claimed local resources and personnel have helped it beat the major banks to win a national customer service award for having the best call centre.
Confirming its receipt of a national Customer Service Council award this week, the company claimed that while other companies were outsourcing customer calls to places like India or the USA, loans.com.au had its customer call centre in Queen Street, Brisbane.
The online home loan lender won silver in the national Customer Service Council awards in Perth this week, beating major banks such as Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, ANZ and NAB.
Commenting on the achievement, loans.com.au managing director Marie Mortimer said although the company did its business online, it still maintained a personal touch with customers via the use of Skype, web chat and the telephone.
“Our customers deal with the same team each time they call, which speeds up the process of getting the home loan,” she said.
