K2 AM wins Asian Hedge Fund Award
Fund Manager K2 Asset Management has won its second award in Asia in 12months taking out the prestigious Eurekahedge Asian Hedge Fund Award for Best Asia ex-Japan Hedge Fund 2014 for its K2 Asian Absolute Return Fund.
The company said the win came on top of an earlier win for K2 in August 2013 when the Melbourne-based team won the AsiaHedge Awards 2013 for the same fund in the Asia ex-Japan category.
Commenting on the award, K2 Asset Management chief investment officer, Mark Newman said he believed it validated the fact the company had the right people, strategy and structure to compete and beat Asian-based managers.
