Nobel peace prize winner Jose Ramos Horta is to open this year’s FPA convention.
The East Timorese independence crusader is the first drawcard released for the convention which opens in Brisbane on November 22.
Organiser Nina Hope says this year's conference will have a lower registration fee than in the past.
Hope says registrations open on May 1 and the organising committee is hopeful for about 3000 convention delegates.
