IRESS launches mobile app aimed at planners and clients
Specialist financial planning software provider IRESS announced this week it had released a new mobile application – XPLANtouch.
It said the application was intended to allow clients, via their advisers, to access personal and financial data from their tablet devices.
Announcing the new product, IRESS executive product manager – wealth, Aaron Knowles said a recent overseas survey of financial services websites, conducted by mobiThinking.com, had revealed that in Western markets 40 per cent of access occurred via a tablet or mobile device.
“People are also increasingly using technology to help them manage their personal finances,” he said.
“We recognise that if consumers expect to access and manage their financial lives online, and online is increasingly mobile, then mobile needs to be part of an adviser’s service offering,” he said.
The company said XPLANtouch allows a financial adviser’s clients to view and update personal details; view portfolio data in tables, charts and graphs; and generate a select range of branded reports on demand.
The app supports swiping through views and interactive charts and works on all tablets, including the Apple iPad, Samsung Galaxy and Microsoft Surface.
