Investorweb brings in Atchison to fill research gap
Investorweb Researchhas brought in Ken Atchison to help with the production of its annual property sector report.
Atchison, alongside Investorweb's acting head of managed funds Martin Kerr, will conduct the investment manager interviews and assess the 22 managers being reviewed for the sector report.
Atchinson has joined Investorweb on a contract basis until the completion of the report in mid-December this year.
The move comes after the research house dismissed two of its most senior analysts, David Wright and David Smythe, last month.
The decision left Investorweb with only two analysts in what should be a five-strong managed fund team.
Atchison established his own consultancy specialising in property sector analysis and advice in 2001, prior to which he was a senior consultant with Towers Perrin conducting manager research and advising superannuation trustee boards. Atchison also has experience as general manager of Jacques Martin and as general manager of investments at HSBC.
InvestorWeb are also finalising discussions with another market practitioner to assist with the production of the Australian Small Companies Review, and are currently searching for two senior analysts and one junior analysts for their managed funds research team
