InvestorWeb appoints research pioneers
GiveWell director Michael Walsh has been named on the board of investment research group InvestorWeb.
News of his appointment raised a few eyebrows among industry observers who hark back to 1995 when Walsh made the first brave move into pay-to-be-rated research as head of ASSIRT.
Two other board members of the soon to be ASX listed are former Lonsdale staffers Otto Buttula and David Wright. At the height of the controversy about ASSIRT's move, Lonsdale made headlines as the group most likely to follow ASSIRT's lead.
InvestorWeb's prospectus of its bid to list on the ASX is still with regulators, but the group hopes to list before the end of the year.
