Independent transaction network, Calastone, which launched in Australia in January, has added Investors Mutual Limited to its client list.

The company announced this week that Investors Mutual Limited had commenced trading its funds via the Calastone network this month.

Commenting on the move, Calastone joint founder Kevin Lee claimed there had been a rapid uptake of his company's offering on the part of the Australian funds management industry.

Investors Mutual Limited general manager Graham Hook confirmed use of the Calastone network, and said the technology allowed the funds industry to transact with one another quickly, easily and transparently.

Other Calastone users include RBC Dexia, Aberdeen Asset Management, Schroder Investment Management and one of the top three wrap platform providers.
