The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has announced that the theme for its conference this year will focus on how financial planners can differentiate themselves as professionals.
Jo-Anne Bloch said the theme name for the FPA’s 2008 National Conference, ‘Ignite the Difference’ will also focus on what’s new and different at the FPA.
Scheduled for November 18-21 at the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre, some of the keynote speakers include: Jonathan Welch, founder of the Choir of Hard Knocks; business coach Ed Jacobsen; CFP US-based financial planner Karen Schaeffer; and CSIRO’s Dr James Bradfield Moody.
Some of the featured sessions include: new and innovative marketing strategies; selling life insurance successfully; and the how and why’s of alternative investments.
“Our conference committees have done an outstanding job of achieving a perfect balance between technical, motivational, and social activities, so there’s something for everyone. We’ve enlivened the pace and sharpened the focus,” Bloch said.
