Effective immediately, Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) has appointed Klaus Kaldemorgen as global head of equities and Heinz Fesser as global head of fixed income.

Kaldemorgen and Fesser are both heads of portfolio management at DeAM’s retail asset management arm, DWS Investments.

In their new positions they will be responsible for traditional equities and fixed income products (including cash products), investment processes, fund management and the investment platform, but not alternative investments.

“Klaus and Heinz have been instrumental in helping to achieve consistent outperformance for retail and institutional customers for over a decade,” DeAM global head Kevin Parker said.

“In their new roles, we will be able to leverage this investment expertise across DeAM’s retail and institutional businesses worldwide.”

DeAM proprietary global research database G-Cube remains crucial to the group’s investment process, and with the new appointments will continue to be used by all regions.

The new appointments will not affect the existing reporting lines from Australia to DeAM in Frankfurt.
