The Australian and New Zealand chartered accounting group CA Associates Australasia, which also offers financial planning services, has been re-branded, and will now be known as Accru.

Operating within this new name will be a network of seven independently-owned chartered accounting firms and two financial services practices.

As a result of the new business brand, Felsers Financial Design in Sydney will now be known as Accru Financial Planning (AFP), and DBP Financial Planning in Melbourne will be called Accru Wealth Management.

AFP director Matthew Kidd said the new name was the result of significant growth within the group.

“We have an office in every state of Australia and our financial planning services have grown, providing the perfect opportunity to brand as one,” he said.

Kidd said this would present the group with all the benefits of national branding, including the ability to leverage off one another through advertising and name recognition.

“Currently, our financial planning is growing very fast — between $25 million and $40 million a year,” he said.

“Our plan is to grow our financial planning services in every state.”

AFP is a fully integrated division of Accru Chartered Accountants NSW, with funds under advice of approximately $110 million.

CA Associates Australasia was founded in 1984 with the alignment of accountancy practices throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Accru is a member of CPA Associates International.
