ETF investors embracing risk
Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) investors are exhibiting a greater appetite for risk, according to the latest data released by BetaShares.
The company's July Australian ETF Review found the industry was up again through the month, exhibiting market capitalisation growth of 4 per cent and net new assets of $57 million.
It said this growth had been spurred by renewed interest in Australian equities products.
It said that although yield was still popular among investors through high dividend and cash products, there had been greater risk appetite exhibited by investors, with six of the top 10 ETFs by creation value being Australian equities-based.
The company said this renewed appetite for investing was indicated by the average trading value rising by 5 per cent for the month.
