Entries are now open for the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year Award 2010.

The entry and judging process will be conducted in two separate stages.

Part one calls for a comprehensive overview of the personal attributes and career achievements of the applicant. A covering letter should outline why the applicant should be considered for the award and information provided on the individual’s career achievements, input to the financial planning profession and community contributions. A curriculum vitae should also be supplied.

Following this initial process, Money Management will contact the applicants who make it through to the next stage of the judging process, which is part two.

Part two focuses on the practical application of advice principles. Applicants will be asked to complete a questionnaire, which covers six key areas: quality of advice, service levels, client segmentation, financial planning, education and external accountability. Applicants will also be asked to provide three separate written client endorsements, references or testimonials detailing how the adviser has met the needs of the client.

The winner of the Money Management Financial Planner of the Year Award will receive an all expenses trip, including return airfares, accommodation and registration, to next year’s USA Financial Planning Association conference.

For more information or to submit an entry form go to Money Management or contact Angela Faherty on (02) 9422 2210 or Angela Faherty.
