Elements’ menu full of apples
Asgard Wealth Solution’s new-look mini master trust, Elements, has received a ‘five apples’ rating from Chant West — the highest rating available from the independent researcher.
After two years in the market, Elements underwent an overhaul following adviser consultations and now offers a larger menu, with a balance of big name brands and popular boutique funds.
The mini master trust now gives investors 61 investment options instead of 54, with the addition of 29 new funds replacing 22 from the old list.
According to Asgard head of product — wealth Dean Thomas, the Elements investment options make up a concentrated, quality-focused investment menu, designed so portfolios can be tailored to suit individual investor needs.
“We have ramped up the stringency of both the qualitative and quantitative criteria we are using to choose funds for the menu,” he said.
“As usual, the fund must have consistent, strong performance, be in high demand from advisers and investors, and be competitively priced.
“Also, for the first time we have engaged independent research house Standard & Poor’s to help choose the best set of funds for the menu.”
