Credit Suisse releases post credit crisis report
Credit Suisse has released a report into the strategic challenges investors will face in the early days of the credit crisis recovery.
The report, "The world post the credit crisis", considers how consumption-led imbalances that contributed to the crisis are now being unwound and how emerging economies should help improve global growth.
It also examines emerging bank business models, the future of the asset management industry, the role of China and questions whether central banks will now target asset bubbles.
The report’s contributors include former British Prime Minister and senior adviser to Credit Suisse Sir John Major, Nobel prize winner and former President of Mexico Dr Ernesto Zedillo and Credit Suisse vice chairman of asset management Robert Parker.
“We hope this report will help broaden the debate on how the world has changed post credit crisis by focusing on issues such as the need for central banks to target asset prices and the crucial role of Chinese consumers,” Credit Suisse head of research for private banking and asset management Giles Keating said.
