CFS adds new options to FirstChoice

Colonial First State (CFS) has added five new investment options to its FirstChoice platform.
The company said the move was aimed at providing investors with greater access to growth opportunities in Australian and global markets.
Commenting on the move, Colonial First State general manager Product & Investments, Peter Chun, said the new investments options on both FirstChoice and FirstChoice Wholesale were part of the company's ongoing development program intended to provide investors with more choice and growth opportunities in their portfolio mix.
The CFS announcement said that effective from 11 June, new investment choices on the FirstChoice platform would include PIMCO Global Bond; Acadian Global Managed Volatility; CFS Global Resources Tactical; Antares Elite Opportunities; and Altrinisic Global Equity.
It said the investment strategy for FirstChoice Boutique Australian Share (to be renamed FirstChoice Lower Volatility Australian Share) would be changed to reduce the effect of market volatility on a client's investment.
The announcement said two investment options would also be reopened to new applications: BlackRock Australian Share (to be renamed BlackRock Scientific Australian Equity) and Colonial First State Developing Companies.
