Bridges buys into WA dealer group
Bridges Financial Services Grouphas struck a deal with the Police & Nurses Credit Society to share in Perth-based dealer group IGP Financial Services.
Under the terms of the deal, Bridges will provide a range of dealer support services to IGP which will retain its dealers licence, as it continues to provide financial planning services to Police & Nurses members.
IGP has $200 million in funds under advice and started in 1985 in Perth servicing financial planning services to credit unions in Western Australia.
Bridges managing director David Bleakley says his group is pleased with the deal as the Police & Nurses credit union is “Western Australia’s largest and most successful credit union”.
Police & Nurses chief executive Fred Huis says the agreement provided an entry point into financial planning which also enabled them to better service the wealth creation and retirement needs of their members.
“Our members will benefit through the research, technical and strategic support provided by Bridges. We will also gain access to cutting edge resources,” he says.
IGP, for their part, will be able to expand their client services, according to a joint press release from Bridges and the Police & Nurses credit union.
