Baker enters R&SA Financial Services

Royal and SunAlliance’s(R&SA) recently developed financial services division has appointed Wayne Baker to the newly created position of national sales manager.

The new position has been created as part of the lead up to the Financial Services Reform Bill and will result in Baker developing R&SA’s team of business development managers.

Baker was formerly withConnelly Temple, having worked as the group’s Queensland state manager since 1997. However, Connelly Temple was one of the five businesses consolidated last month into the financial services arm of the parent group, along with Guardian Trust, Life Risk, Optimum and Tyndall.

With more than 20 years financial services industry experience, Baker has spent time with the businesses ofPerpetual InvestmentsandANZ Funds Management.

Another recent R&SA move saw national products and marketing manager Helen Troup depart the group forING, to take on the role of life insurance products and marketing assistant general manager.

Troup has racked up 10 years experience in the financial services industry, and was responsible for the marketing functions, product management and product development for R&SA’s Life Risk business unit.
