APRA welcomes new member
Federal Treasurer Peter Costello has announced the appointment of John Trowbridge as a member of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
Previously, Trowbridge was a director of Munich Reinsurance in Australia and group executive for general insurance at Suncorp Metway.
He founded Trowbridge Consulting in 1981, and guided it over 20 years to become a leading Australian actuarial and management consulting firm.
His role at APRA is for a three-year term. Trowbridge replaces Stephen Somogyi, whose three-year appointment ends on June 30.
