AMP Capital has recruited three new members to its capital equity team, assigning Jonas Palmqvist and Andrew Lally to dual roles of senior portfolio managers and analysts, while Thomas Young will join the company as assistant portfolio manager.

Palmqvist, who will analyse the financials sector, joined AMP Capital from fund manager Swedbank Robur. Prior to joining Swedbank Robur, he worked for Merrill Lynch in London and Swedbank in Stockholm.

Lally will cover energy, infrastructure and property. He was promoted within AMP Capital’s ranks, working previously as a senior portfolio manager and head of credit research for the fixed income team.

The third member joining AMP Capital is Thomas Young, who has been appointed as assistant portfolio manager. Young recently completed the AMP Capital graduate program.

These appointments bring the number of the Australian capital equity team members to eight.
