RSM appoint national chair
Mid-tier accounting firm, RSM Australia, has appointed partner, Jamie O'Rourke, to the new position of national chair, following the retirement of the current chair, Kim Hutchinson.
O'Rourke has been a partner at the firm for 17 years and has 30 years of professional accounting experience, 25 of which have been with RSM. He is a partner in the business advisory division.
O'Rourke, who began his career in tax and insurance consultancy, is a member of the National Executive.
Current chair Kim Hutchison will retire after 16 years in the position, having lead RSM from a mid-tier firm to an industry leader.
"I'm leaving the firm in very capable hands," he said.
"RSM has built up a strong national brand, and I am convinced it will continue to grow under Jamie's leadership."
RSM also recently appointed Brisbane managing partner, Matthew Graham, and Moora partner Judy Snell to the National Executive.
It also appointed three new partners: Matthew Gordge in Adelaide; Jayesh Kapitan in Melbourne; and Paul Rogan in Ballarat.
It is also expanding with nine new principals in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Ballarat, and Wagga Wagga.
