The latest upgrade to TAL’s award-winning Accelerated Protection product series is now available, bringing your clients and their families more options and flexibility than ever before.


TAL have announced the latest upgrade to their award-winning Accelerated Protection product will be available from 22 October 2018, bringing advisers, their clients and their families more options and flexibility than ever before.

The latest release brings with it a host of improvements including clearer language, new and refreshed definitions, as well as enhanced benefits and improved flexibility so advisers can tailor the cover to their advice strategy and the unique needs of their clients. And best of all, under their Guarantee of Upgrade feature, TAL are passing improvements back to existing Accelerated Protection clients.

 

Here are just some of the strong points:

 

Pricing changes for new business

TAL has reviewed new business pricing to ensure they continue to deliver even more ongoing value to advisers and their clients. Overall, the new pricing will deliver more competitive premiums across a number of benefits, including improved pricing for customers who bundle their cover with TAL.

 

Enhanced Critical Illness Insurance

TAL have completed their annual comprehensive review of Critical Illness definitions with their in-house medical experts to ensure they reflect the latest medical practice, helping to ensure advisers can have  confidence in their recommendations. 22 definitions have been updated including an enhanced Angioplasty benefit for Critical Illness Premier. Additional flexibility has been provided via improvements to the Guaranteed Future Insurability benefit for all lump sum benefits and the ability to apply Double Critical Illness on both attached and linked policies.

 

Total and Permanent Disability Insurance

With more Australians working later in life, TAL’s new TPD insurance now includes a new continuation option for white collar occupations, allowing up to $1 million of Any Occupation cover to continue to age 70and added flexibility with Double TPD on both linked and attached policies.

 

New Business Expense option within Income Protection

There’s a new Business Expense option designed to remove complexity across the board and offer a unique solution for sole traders. It covers all reasonable business expenses, including the variable expenses such as the cost of a replacement employee.

 

Child’s Critical Illness

TAL’s new Child’s Critical Illness insurance helps advisers give their clients peace of mind when it comes to their kids. The product provides coverage for 22 critical illness events and now has a simple online application process, and no requirement to structure with adult benefits. Cover can also convert to an adult policy on the policy anniversary prior to their 19th birthday without underwriting.
