How the raters were rated
THIS year marks the second yearMoney Managementhas undertaken the Rating the Raters survey, which was carried out in conjunction with the Tom Collins Consultancy.
The survey covered the following research houses:Morningstar,Assirt,Lonsdale, van Eyk,InvestorWeband 5Di, and considered the areas of methodology, process, ethics and integrity, and value of research, and was completed by fund managers representing more than 80 per cent of retail funds under management.
This group included a sizeable range of large, mid-sized and boutique investment houses, both Australian and overseas owned, working across a range of asset classes, and in business from a few years to a few decades.
As part of receiving their assistance and input, each funds management group was granted complete confidentiality regarding their answers.
Of course, a number of fund managers either chose not to, or were unable to, respond andMoney Managementwould like to thank all those who agreed to take part for their time and responses.
