Former BT Financial Group media head, Coran Lill, has been appointed as IRESS' newly created role of group executive — communications and marketing.

IRESS chief executive, Andrew Walsh, said Lill's experience in the role would help the company expand its offerings.

"The new role reflects the continued growth of IRESS in Australia and internationally, as well as the increasing breadth, depth and unified nature of the services we are providing to clients," Walsh said.

"Coran brings a broad range of skills and experience to the role. He has a background as a corporate lawyer, business journalist and communications consultant. Most recently he has consulted to a range of fund managers, banks, insurers and dealer groups as well to technology companies."

Lill is the director of Lill Communications and a lecturer at The University of Technology Sydney.
