Former JBWere head of advice Grant McCorquodale has joined FIIG Securities as its head of personal and intermediary clients, including financial planners.

In the newly created role, McCorquodale will look after the growth of private client and intermediary businesses.

McCorquodale was previously executive director and head of advice at JBWere, where he looked after business growth and client service experience in the investment and wealth management advisory services area.

Before that he was in a consulting role at the Commonwealth Bank (CBA) in CommSec Adviser Services for almost two years.

"Grant has had extensive experience in sales leadership roles in private and intermediary type businesses, which makes him an ideal fit for this new position," FIIG Securities CEO Mark Paton said.

McCorquodale has also helped developed group self-managed super fund strategies at CBA and National Australia Bank.
