Challenger has announced its full range of fixed term and lifetime annuities, including CarePlus, are available via HUB24’s investment and superannuation platform.

Advisers could now generate quotes, submit new applications and view their client’s Challenger annuity alongside other investments in HUB24. Advisers would also be supported by Challenger tools, resources and calculators.

Richard Howes, Challenger chief executive officer, said this would make the process easier and more efficient for advisers to include guaranteed income steams in their clients’ portfolios.

“Challenger annuities are a compelling product for retirees who want peace of mind around their income and spending,” Howes said.

“Making our annuities available via the HUB24 platform allows us to reach a wider range of advisers who are looking to ensure their clients’ can access secure income in retirement.

“Advisers are an important channel in reaching retirees and making annuities available via platforms will support the recent growth in sales we have seen by independent financial advisers.”
