BT appoints head of platforms distribution
Acting platforms distribution head, Jason Brown, has been formally tapped to lead BT Panorama’s 70-person strong distribution team.
The appointment would follow BT’s continued investment towards boosting the digital capability, managed accounts offer, and features of its wealth management platform.
Acting in the role since December 2022 since the departure of Chris Mather, Brown was most recently head of account management at the firm.
He had been with BT for 14 years in business development and account management roles and had 30 years’ experience in financial services.
Kathy Vincent, chief strategy and product officer at BT, said: “Jason is the right fit for the team at the right time. He has enormous respect [for] our people and advisers, and has demonstrated strength in his leadership skills through market volatility, changing economic environments, as well as rapid growth and change”.
In this role, Brown would be responsible for leading BT Panorama’s distribution team, with a sustained focus on providing value to its adviser client base. This included working on adviser feedback and providing practice development, technical education, and regulatory events.
As of 31 March 2023, BT Panorama held $102.1 billion in funds under management and had over 6,000 active advisers on the platform.
“BT is an innovative and adaptable business with a strong brand and it has been my privilege to be part of the development of the platform’s business to where it is today,” Brown stated.
“I look forward to continuing to work with our dedicated team and the advisers and practices who have entrusted us to be the custodians of their client’s wealth, as we invest in our award-winning BT Panorama platform.”
