Asteron has appointed Andrew Bridgland as sales manager for the South Australia (SA) and Northern Territory (NT) region.

Bridgland joined the specialist life insurer's SA team on 27 July. In his expanded role in the region, his responsibilities include helping advisers grow their risk revenue, coaching key licensees on their sales strategies, and supporting with adviser and referral partner presentations.

Bridgland brings more than 30 years industry experience to the role - 10 of which were recently spent running his own financial planning practice in SA. Prior to joining Asteron, he was a senior business development manager with MLC in SA, specialising in risk sales.

He will report to Asteron's state manager for SA, Stuart James.

"Andrew has a strong reputation for assisting advisers to increase new business production and business valuations. His decade of financial planning experience will also be valuable when working with his clients, as this gives him a deep understanding of their business," James said.
