AIA partners with Asgard
Life insurer AIA Australia has expanded its distribution reach with the launch its Priority Protection for Platform Investors product on Asgard's Personal Choice Private platform.
The platform is a private label solution administered by Asgard for members of the Association of Independently Owned Financial Planners (AIOFP), AIA stated.
AIA head of retail distribution Pina Sciarrone said AIA's partnership with Asgard follows the launch of an integrated insurance facility on the netwealth Life WRAP in September last year.
Given the strong growth of that partnership in its first 12 months, Sciarrone said she expected similar success as advisers continued to demand writing their risk business through platform providers.
"This trend has driven changes to AIA Australia's business structure and product development to ensure our products and services remain relevant to our adviser, dealer group and platforms partners as this market continues to grow," she said.
The launch follows the establishment of the strategic partnership team in September, a dedicated resource for AIA's platform and dealership partners, Sciarrone said.
